T.M. Opera O[2] is a racehorse in the end of 20th century. He won seven G1s, and earned the most in the world until Arrogate broke his record in 2017. Especially in 2000, he won eight grade races including five G1s, with no defeat. So he is known as "The Conqueror of the End of the Century[Note 1]".

  • T.M. means his owner, Takezono Masatsugu. Opera comes from his father Opera House. O means king in Japanese, same as Sakura Bakushin O or other "O"s.
  • Opera O is the first horse that "Oguri Cap rule" was applied and won. Even though the horse is not registered for the Classics in previous year, it can run to pay for additional registration. This rule was added after protests that Oguri couldn't enter the Classics. That is why Opera O is drawn in Cinderella Gray.
