Satono Diamond (サトノダイヤモンド, Satono Daiyamondo) is a character in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.
Profile[]
A scion of a large company Satono Group. She has a pure heart. Contrary to her gentle speech and manners, she has a stubborn personality. She is a big fan of Mejiro McQueen and will always try to come cheer on her races.
Satono horse girls had not been able to win any G1s for a long time. She tries to break those "jinx". She also likes to break other superstitions, and sometimes does eccentric acts that even Gold Ship feels off-putting.
Appearance[]
Satono Diamond is a horse girl who has very long bay brown hair with a prominent diamond-shaped marking on her bangs as well as brown eyes. She wears an ear ornament around her right ear. Her regular hairstyle is a french braid half updo.
Her regular racing outfit consists of a green cropped jacket with long frilled sleeves going past her fingers, worn over a white frilled shirt, a brown ascot, an underbust corset, a long green high-low skirt with a bow on the back, black thighhighs and white frilled ankle boots.

- When Mejiro McQueen wins Autumn Triple Crown, she gives her a claw crane[Note 2] console.
- Her shouts when a lottery "Ali-yan!" comes from a Sammy character, Ali-yan[1].
- In the 1st Anniversary Special Animation, she talks with "Kura-chan" in Satono Group. Later her name was announced as Satono Crown.
- In the TV commercial, "his" main jockey Christophe-Patrice Lemaire appears and plays Uma Musume game, wearing "Satono" racing silk.
- When she was announced, "his" contemporary Makahiki was still active. So some of fanarts portray (real-life) Makahiki being surprised at umanized Satono Diamond.

Satono Diamond[3] is a racehorse in the middle of 2010s. So far, "Satono" horses had been bought by high prices, but were difficult to win grade races. He won the first G1 race in Satono squadron.
- His owner is Hajime Satomi, the chairman of SEGA Sammy Holdings Inc.[4][Note 3]
- He is expected as a succeeding sire of Deep Impact. Satono Glanz is the first grade race winner in his crops, winning 2023 Kyoto Shimbun Hai. Shinryokuka was placed in second at the Hanshin Juvenile Fillies and is also expected as a star horse for the Classics.
