Nishino Flower is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
Profile[]
A young innocent and caring horse girl who is very mature for her age, Nishino Flower is the epitome of impressionable youth. Known as the "genius horse girl" for her intelligence, Nishino Flower skipped primary school and was accepted into Tracen Academy for her prodigy-level ability to race, studying and racing along other horse girls older than her. She is also known for her caring and motherly personality, taking care of students such as Seiun Sky when they fall asleep and lending her notes to other struggling horse girls when it comes to their studies. Even if she has her hands full with something, Nishino Flower would never let someone down to help them.
She sometimes lacks confidence in herself from time to time though. As she is a primary schooler in terms of age and size, Nishino Flower worries if she will ever become a well-rounded adult compared to her other upperclassmen and her growth in terms of size and training. But as she has many fans and friends supporting her, she hopes for the day that she will bloom into a lovely adult horse girl that everyone can marvel at.

Nishino Flower is a horse girl who has short black hair in a bob cut with blunt bangs. She wears a pink hairband, two hair ornaments on each side of her head as well as magenta ear covers. She also wears a flower & ribbon decoration near her left ear.

Trivia[]
- Although the horse girl Nishino Flower is young, the real-life version is the same age as others born in 1989, such as Sakura Bakushin O or Mihono Bourbon, and is older than Seiun Sky by six years.
- There are many interactions between her, Seiun Sky, Agnes Tachyon and Taiki Shuttle. This is because the real Nishino Flower bred with the three of them.
- Material in the game points to a close relationship between Nishino Flower and Seiun Sky as they are from the same farm/owner and their descendants are referenced in her support SR card (their child, Nishino Mirai, has two children named Nishino Daisy and Nishino Wreath. The card features a wreath of daisies on Seiun Sky's head).

Nishino Flower is a racehorse in the early 1990s. She was one of the pioneers of sprint races in Japan, being with the likes of Sakura Bakushin O or Yamanin Zephyr. She has won many short distance and mile races, including G1 races Hanshin 3-year-old[Note 2] Filly Stakes[Note 3], Oka Sho, and Sprinters' Stakes. Because of her young age, she was known as the "girl genius".
- When she was a foal, she was so small that several stables refused her to be entrusted.
- In those days, it was difficult for fillies to win filly-colt mixed races. Nevertheless she won Sprinters' Stakes only at the age of three.
- She is the only horse that defeated Sakura Bakushin O in a sprint race.
- As a broodmare, she bore eleven children, including seven central winners.
- Her and Seiun Sky's great-grandson Nishino Daisy is the first grade race winner in their descendants. He is also Agnes Tachyon's grandson.
