Meisho Doto is a character in Umamusume: Pretty Derby.

Profile[]

Though she has skill, she’s a shy, negative-thinking horse girl. Though her name (Doto) means “surging waves” she is quite mild-mannered. She’s always shivering out of fear. Because of this, despite her skill, she doesn’t win races too often, seemingly defeated by her own low self-confidence. She admires T.M. Opera O's extravagant self-confidence.

Appearance[]

Meisho Doto has short brown hair with white bangs and a question mark-shaped ahoge as well as purple eyes with (usually) a swirly motif. She has a constant cat mouth and wears a thin ear ribbon around her right ear.

  • Meisho Doto had been lost in T.M. Opera O's second five times in a row. This was the sixth challenge.

Trivia[]

  • Due to her hair color and the angle of her ears, her appearance makes her resemble a cow girl. This is much more noticeable when she wears her racing outfit.
  • She and Hishi Akebono have the largest figure of all the horse girls in the series.
  • In anime, she works as an assistant of Matikanefukukitaru's fortune telling house.
  • In game version, Doto becomes the "Surging Wave of the End of the Century" when she defeat T.M. Opera O at all G1 races Opera O won in real life[Note 1].

Meisho Doto is a racehorse in 1999-2001. After Admire Vega retired, he rivaled T.M. Opera O and always lost in the second. Nevertheless he didn't lose any horses except Opera O as the "strongest number two".

  • He fought against Opera O nine times. From 2000 Takarazuka Kinen to 2001 Spring Tenno Sho, he placed second four times in a row at G1s. At 2001 Takarazuka Kinen, Opera O couldn't reach Doto. He won the first and last G1.
  • Meanwhile, In 2000 he won all G2s without Opera O.
  • After he retired a stallion work, he moved to Versailles Resort Farm with Taiki Shuttle. He get along with him, lots of goats, and a tanuki. Fans call him the king of goats there. now they moved again to Nothern Lake in Niikappu.
