Junko Hosoe (細江 純子, Hosoe Junko) is one of the supporting characters in the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.
She is a race commentator also in real life. In anime version, she commentates with Misato Akasaka.
In Uma Yuru, she acts as a bartender in Bar HosoJun.

- The name Junko means "pure, clean, simple" (純) (jun) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Junko's surname Hosoe means "fine, dainty, thin/get thin, taper, slender, narrow" (細) (hoso) and "bay, inlet" (江) (e).

- Junko is a real-life race commentator. She is voiced by herself.
- In game version, she commentates only in "Make a new track!!" scenario.
- Uma Yuru version is a parody of "Snack Zunko", real-life Hosoe's YouTube channel[1].

Junko Hosoe is a race commentator. In the 1990s, She was one of the first female jockeys in Japan, and ran 493 times. In 2001, she retired because of health. Afterward she works as a race commentator.
- In real-life horseracing, Hosoe is often in front of the starting gate. She says about health or motivation of the horses.
- At 2015 Takarazuka Kinen, Gold Ship suddenly stood up just before the gate is opening, so he delayed. Hosoe shouted twice.
- Hosoe often says dirty jokes in several TV programs or her columns. Of course, she never says in Uma Musume-related contents.
