A large horse girl in both size and heart. She’s always smiling cheerfully and has a cheerful disposition. She considers her physique to be a wonderful defining characteristic for herself. She loves eating and treating others to food too, telling trainers “Heads up! You’re gonna gain at least 10kg (22lbs) coaching me!” She makes the best of her non-standard running physique in races.

Hishi Akebono is a horse girl who has long brown hair done in twintails with white hair ribbons. She also has red eyes and a single bobble 'ear' tie worn on her right ear.
Her original ("prototype") racing outfit resembles a school uniform with a double-breasted sailor-collared blazer and a miniskirt.
Her current racing outfit consists of a colorful and stylized pastry double-breasted chef uniform with an apron with donut and candy motif and boots of different colors, the right one being chocolate cookie-themed and the left one being strawberry shortcake-themed. The ear bobble is moved to the right twintail and a mini hat is there instead.

Hishi Akebono was a racehorse in the middle of 1990s. He is the heaviest ever G1 winner in JRA history.
- His name comes from sumo wrestler Akebono Taro.
- When he won 1995 Sprinters Stakes, he weighed 560kg.
- Meanwhile, second place Biko Pegasus was 432kg, a 128kg difference.
- The weight record of Hishi Akebono was measured at the 1996 Mile Championship. He was 568kg.
