Bakushin, Bakushin, Bakushiiiiin!!
―Sakura Bakushin O

Sakura Bakushin O (サクラバクシンオー, Sakura Bakushin O) is a character in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby. A hot-blooded class representative, she possesses a reputation for her endless speed and energy. She is referred to as "Bakushin O" for short by her classmates.

Personality[]

With a strong sense of justice, self-assurance and confidence, Sakura Bakushin O deeply cares about her role as an "honorable class representative". Despite her small position, she patrols the school and gets involved with the happenings of the academy without being asked to as a model student. However, Bakushin O can be very impatient and hot-headed, recklessly running into situations without hesitation. She is also not very intelligent, can easily be swayed and is incapable of reading the atmosphere.

Despite these flaws, Bakushin O's intentions are all for the good of the school and its students. She aims to be a role model that other students can look up to, both in academics and races, and aims to do her very best in both aspects. Her specialty is running short-distance races but she is somewhat confident that she will be able to run longer distances and turns down trainers wanting to make her into a sprinter. Her trainer was able to win her over saying that winning three 1200m races would be the same as winning a 3200m race, which Bakushin O gullibly accepted as truth. Although a bit reckless, she has top-class acceleration and power, not to mention incredible speed.

She is also very loud and not a day goes by without her shouting the words "Bakushin!" and "class representative".

Appearance[]

Sakura Bakushin O is small in stature compared to other horse girls with an average build. She has chestnut-brown hair that is held in a high ponytail that just reaches the top her her thighs. Her bangs fall cleanly on either sides; a style she prefers because not only does it show her face well, it is a gift from heaven as an honor student (in her words). Her headband is gold and she wears a purple scrunchie on her right ear, which match with her purple and gold hair ribbons. Her eyes are a purplish-pink in color with a cherry blossom pattern at the center of them.

Her race outfit consists of two parts. She wears a sleeveless pink, white and grey jacket topped with gold epaulets and a gold tie. The jacket splits into different parts at the bottom, with one rectangular flap at the crotch and five flaps that resemble cherry blossom petals. She wears a short, black cape with a white patterned line and cherry blossom petal-shaped flaps at the end on her back. Her bottoms are loose fitting black shorts that have a white line encircling the bottom. She also wears white thigh high socks that have a pink line at the top and grey cherry blossom petals falling to the bottom. As accessories, she has black and white gloves with black cuffs as well as white and black shoes with pink heels on the bottom.
