Unyielding, noble, strong! That's what being a princess is all about!
―Kawakami Princess

Profile[]

Kawakami Princess is a tomboyish horse girl who, despite being rough and rowdy and brute strengthing everything in her life, aims to become a noble lady befitting her name. Even though she grew up an ordinary family, she has never stopped dreaming of the day she will become a "fighting princess".

She is a big fan of the shoujo anime series "PriFight", and has admired the heroine Shiny Princess since she was a little girl. In addition to looking for "legendary trainers" to support her dream, she has also been admiring King Halo since she was a child, seeing her as a real lady and the one that closely resembles Shiny Princess's characteristics.

Kawakami Princess is hoping to meet a prince, but rather than waiting for him to pick her up, she aspires to pick him up. That's why, under the guidance of King Halo, she's been training every day to become a princess. Despite her incredibly macho strength, she's worried that should that day come, her prince may not like her. But with the support of her trainer and King Halo, she hasn't given up on being both tough and elegant at the same time.

Trivia[]

  • Kawakami Princess's strength and tomboyish nature often leads her to destroy facilities and equipment. Such examples are crushing a pen with her grip, turning a doorknob too far and destroying the door itself, cutting a toaster oven with a knife and kicking a hole in the wall of the school building. Air Groove always worries about which facility in Tracen Academy she'll destroy next.
  • Despite her accent being that of a noble lady's, her words are... less so, with her catchphrase being: "I'll beat you up!" King Halo has been teaching her the proper way to say things more elegantly.
  • She is not good at cooking or studying. However, in the game's Valentine's Day event, she clumsily makes homemade sweets. She also seems to be taught by King.
  • Thanks to her success in the races, she has been invited as a guest to the collaboration events of PriFight, and as her fame has increased, her enthusiasm has become known to the public.

Real Life[]

She was the greatest bucephalus of all bucephaluses. She was strong-willed, and hated to lose. She continually won until the Shuka Sho. The harder she was trained, the stronger she got. She finished in first from anywhere, as if she had answered our training.
―Katsuichi Nishiura, the trainer[1]

Kawakami Princess is a racehorse in the middle of 2000s. She won Double Tiara with no defeat. She also finished in first at the Queen Elizabeth II Cup, however, she was demoted and never to win afterward.

  • At the 2006 Queen Elizabeth II Cup, She finished in first, but JRA demoted her in 12th. She skewed and prevented Yamanin Sucre. After that, she never won until she retired.
    • The horse that promoted to first at the race was Fusaichi Pandora, later nine-crown horse Almond Eye's mother.
  • Her father is King Halo. Kawakami is the third earnings in his children and the most in mares.
    • King Halo's grandsons are continuously winning grade races, though, Kawakami's children have not win any G1s yet.
  • She was also just as rambunctious in real life: her groom had to put a "Beware of Hounds a Horse" sign on her stable.
  • She often kicked the wall in her stable. Those holes had remained until her trainer Katsuichi Nishiura retired.
